Thirty years of pain. One phone call.
Tom Sheehan· Wakefield, MA
Tom had been an amputee for more than thirty years, living with daily pain and unable to wear his old prosthetic. His co-worker Michelle Macaluso at Dockside restaurant in Wakefield, MA, took it upon herself to advocate for him. Then, independently, several other people reached out to A Leg Forever asking for help on Tom's behalf. On January 16, 2022, Liz and JP Norden surprised Tom in person with the news: ALF and a prosthetic partner would work with him to fit a new leg. Nine years after the Boston Marathon bombings put the Norden family on this path, the foundation answered yet another call from a neighbor in need.
